The Archaeological Museum of Minervino held archaeological relics of great value, but after been looted about thirty years ago it remained closed to the public for a long time.
The museum reopened on 19 May 2002, in the inauguration the archaeological exhibit called  “When the Ofanto was a shadow”. The museum exhibit contains amphora, vases, various types of utensils and arms belonging to the first millennium B.C. until the first centuries of the Roman Empire, at which time there were patrician villas present on the region.
We want to point out  the small treasure represented by sixteen silver coins form Campania, from Arpi, and from the city of Corinth, attesting to the active commercial activity of this area in the third century B.C.. You will find here precious jewellery done in amber, gold, silver and bronze from the 6th and the 5th century B.C., the symposium crater and the grooming instrument clearly Greek in origin; swords and belts.
