The museum reopened on 19 May 2002, in the inauguration the archaeological exhibit called “When the Ofanto was a shadow”. The museum exhibit contains amphora, vases, various types of utensils and arms belonging to the first millennium B.C. until the first centuries of the Roman Empire, at which time there were patrician villas present on the region.
We want to point out the small treasure represented by sixteen silver coins form Campania, from Arpi, and from the city of Corinth, attesting to the active commercial activity of this area in the third century B.C..
