The ruins of a feudal castle. The recuperation of inscriptions from the Roman times may prove the hypothesis that the Garagnone was built on the foundation of ancient Silva, a Peuceti city cited by Livio. It was right at the foot of Rocca that the ancient Apian Way was to go by. But later, on at least three occasions it is cited as a castle belonging to Frederic. As a mater of fact from 1241 to 1246 it is a feudal hold directly contolled by the Emperor. Even the Angevins pay particular attention to Garagnone. The importance of the castle derives from its privileged position.
